What exactly is DepEd Order No. 49 s 2022, then? According to Poa, DepED Order No. 49 is merely a "reminder" to follow civil service regulations correctly. Order No. 49 of the Department of Education (DepED) is contentious. Depoliticizing the department and fostering professionalism among its staff are two of 2022's objectives. Our vice president, Sara Duterte, who also serves as our depEd secretary, said: Department of Education employees are instructed to "AVOID RELATIONSHIPS, INTERACTION, COMMUNICATION, INCLUDING FOLLOWING SOCIAL MEDIA WITH LEARNERS OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL SETTING, EXCEPT OF THEY ARE RELATIVES" under Department No. 49, which was published in November 2022.
